My name is Chloe Konrad and I'm currently a student at the University of Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia. I started getting into journalism in high school on my yearbook staff and that's where I first learned about storytelling and editing.
Since entering the J-school here, I've been able to learn about and practice everything from classic reporting to audio and video production. Although all aspects of journalism are fascinating, this has helped me see that my passion lies in writing. In the future, I hope to be a magazine editor. My interests range all over the board: sustainable fashion, food, beauty, entertainment and culture.
Outside of school and writing, I would say my personality is a hodge-podge mixture of some random qualities. I'm 100% a cat person (yes, I can still appreciate a cute dog), chocolate and sweets run my life and I'm obsessed with socks. I picked up knitting over the pandemic and I've been making scarves for my friends. If I had to pick between TV and movies, I would go TV any day (and probably only comedies). I grew up on the North Shore of Chicago in a suburb called Glenview.
As much as I can, I publish my own words at howchlocanyougo.com. The blog serves as a place for me to share personal thoughts and write about what I enjoy. It has a heavy focus on embracing who you are.
